Start your day early with a 5:00 a.m. departure from the hotel for a scenic three-hour drive to Akagera National Park. Upon arrival at the park's reception area, a briefing will be conducted at 8:00 a.m., followed by a thrilling game drive that traverses the park from south to north.
Highlights
Spend approximately six hours in the park, where you’ll have a chance to encounter the famous Big Five—lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinoceroses—alongside a variety of other wildlife, aquatic animals, and savannah flora. Depart Akagera around 2:00 p.m. to return to Kigali for an overnight stay.Main Destination: Akagera National Park

Early Morning Trek
Depart the hotel at 5:00 a.m. for a two-and-a-half-hour journey to Volcanoes National Park. At 7:00 a.m., attend a pre-trek briefing before setting off on an extraordinary gorilla trekking experience led by expert guides and trackers.Gorilla Encounter
Once a gorilla family is located, visitors are allowed a magical hour to observe, photograph, and study these remarkable creatures in their natural habitat. Following the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and an evening of relaxation.Main Destination: Volcanoes National Park (Gorillas)

Return to Kigali
After breakfast, depart the lodge at 9:00 a.m. for the three-hour return drive to Kigali. Enjoy lunch at the Kigali Serena Hotel and, in the afternoon, embark on a guided city tour. This includes visits to local markets and artisan shops, where you can purchase unique souvenirs to commemorate your Rwandan adventure.
